Peachtree Corners is Gwinnett's newest city but has been mostly unincorporated Gwinnett County until 2012. The largest city in Gwinnett County, Peachtree Corners is located at the intersection of Dekalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett counties. Mostly affluent in neighborhood style, homes in the area range from a low of $260,000 to as much as $1.200,000. Townhomes range from a low of $99,000 to the mid $400's. Several schools are Blue Ribbon Award winners, especially Simpson Elementary and Norcross High. Highly regarded private schools serve the area as well. This area is ideal for those wanting a stable neighborhood but not wanting a long commute from the I85/I285 corridor, Buckhead, or Midtown areas. Local shopping is well rated with The Forum, an outside shopping mall, attracting upscale shoppers. The city has begun a renovation of some of the shopping centers looking to combine retail and housing opportunities.
