Located in both Fulton and Gwinnett counties, Johns Creek is the "New Kid on the Block". recently incorporated away from the cities of Duluth and Alpharetta, Johns Creek now is competing with Milton and Alpharetta for highly affluent home prices. Super Fulton County Schools abound throughout Johns Creek and many school facilities are less then 10 years old. Super growth occurred during the early 2000's and has rebounded with additional but heavily controlled growth in senior living centers, over 55 subdivisions, and swim/tennis communities. Lots of shopping along Peachtree Parkway (Hwy141) leading to The Avenue (an open air, upscale mall at I400 & Peachtree Parkway. Average home prices are in the mid $300's up to $1,000,000 with those homes found at local country clubs such as Country Club of the South, St. Ives, St Marlo, and RiverClub, to name a few. It is also home to the Bell South PGA Classic at nearby Atlanta Athletic Club. Many of these subdivisions were developed in the late 80's to early 00's. This is a low crime area and taxes are higher than other areas of North Fulton. Strict covenants are the norm and families are offered several opportunities to engage in neighborhood activities.
